TAIGA CH-50KW-150KW-480V Hybrid Inverter

Key Features

10 MPPTs input, 2.0 DC/AC ratio
100% unbalanced load when backup
Built-in UPS function and black start
Scalable to 10 units parallel operation

TAIGA CH-50KW-150KW-480V is a larger hybrid inverter built on the advanced platform. 50 to 150 kW across five power tiers, 480V three-phase, with a 180 to 1000V battery range and 98.5% peak efficiency. Supports 10 units in parallel (up to 1.5 MW). Includes a multifunction AC port that accepts diesel generator input, drives smart loads up to 200A, or receives AC-coupled PV inverter output. All wiring connections are on the right side of the enclosure.

Power handling

  • 100% unbalanced load in backup mode
  • 110% continuous overload, 160% for 10 seconds
  • 180 to 1000V battery range
  • Up to 10 units in parallel (1.5 MW off-grid)
  • 200A battery charge current

Energy yield

  • 2.0x DC/AC ratio across all models
  • 98.5% max efficiency
  • 10 MPPTs, 20 strings
  • 21A string current
  • Built-in PID recovery

Safety

  • Fuseless design
  • IP66 enclosure
  • Type II SPD on DC and AC sides
  • AFCI arc protection

Monitoring

  • String-level monitoring
  • IV curve scanning
  • One-touch diagnostics
  • Remote maintenance

Multifunction AC port

A single AC port handles three input/output modes:

  • Diesel generator input for PV + storage + generator hybrid systems
  • Smart load output, up to 200A
  • PV inverter input for AC-coupled retrofits

Multiple MPPTs

Four MPP trackers with two strings each (eight total), plus string-level monitoring. Adapts to mixed roof orientations and tilt angles without a separate combiner box.

Unbalanced output

Each phase can output independently at up to one-third of nominal power. Requires export limit function to be enabled. For example, on a 100 kW unit, a single phase delivers up to 33.3 kW.

System topologies

Single unit:

  • On/off-grid
  • On/off-grid with diesel generator
  • Off-grid only
  • On-grid, AC-coupled

Multiple units:

  • Up to 10 inverters in parallel (1.5 MW)
  • Automatic on-grid/off-grid switching in under 10 ms

Supported operating modes

Both Taiga inverters share a common set of energy management modes. These are not separate products but operating configurations available on every unit.

ModeWhat it does
Self-consumptionStore excess solar during the day, discharge at night
Peak shavingDischarge when load exceeds a set threshold to limit demand charges
Time-of-useCharge at off-peak rates, discharge at peak rates
Backup powerSupply loads during grid outages

Also supports microgrid operation, power quality management, and grid service programs.

Target applications

  • Commercial: retail, offices, shopping centers
  • Industrial: factories, warehouses, manufacturing
  • Microgrids: remote sites, island installations, campus networks
